Amy and Bonnie

Chapter 4 Homecoming

Amy slowly entered the house, looking for her mother. The trip back had been
scary. The new "Amy" had driven almost wrecklessly, chaining cigarettes and
relishing her new youth. Amy had sat there, wishing she could wake up from
this nightmare.

Amy walked towards the kitchen. She felt nervous, and craved a cigarette.
Would her mother believe her? Would anyone?

She entered the kitchen, not noticing the thick haze hanging in the air as she
would have in her own body. Her mom was sitting at the table with a
nearly-full ashtray in front of her. While this might have stunned her, it did
not stop Amy from rushing forward and try to tell her story.

"Oh mom! Mom help me! It's ME, Amy! I'm in here! Aunt Bonnie is a witch! She
stole my body! Oh Mommy please help me! Make her switch back, please I feel so
awful and it's not fair and..."

She trailed off as Bonnie walked into the room, cigarette in hand. She smiled
at Carol, and asked "Do you have her room ready?"

Carol crushed out her cigarette and sent a thick plume into Amy's face. "Yeah,
it will keep her out of the way. Then, we talk about MY new body, right
Bonnie?"

"As we agreed. I always keep my word, Carol. In fact, I need to call "my"
friend Tanya and let her know I am back! She'll love the special tea my dear
Aunt Bonnie introduced me to!" She put her hand on Amy's shoulder. "Oh Aunt
Bonnie, I am SO glad you are coming to stay with us! Momma and I will take
real good care of you, and we'll buy you all the cigarettes you want!"

Both women giggled as Amy sat horrified, wrapped in a thick haze and already
reaching for "her" cigarette case, needing one desperately.
