Part 2

February 13, 2003-

Well things with Christine have certainly changed a little bit. After she
recovered from her initial disappointment that I didn't quit smoking, we got
to talking about smoking.

I continued to tease her about wanting her to smoke (but leaving out the part
about addiction, of course), and this afternoon she asked me why I wanted to
see it still, after having two weeks of watching her smoke.

I was honest, and I told her that I really don't know, and that I think
it's the challenge of trying to get her to smoke.

Much to my surprise, she said, "So if I were to just give in and smoke with
you, then you'd get bored with it, and you'd stop wanting me to smoke?"

Of course, this was a proposition that I capitalized on immediately, and said
that it would indeed be the case, but that it wouldn't happen overnight-it
could take a while for me to get bored with it.

A few minutes later, she emailed me again and asked if we could go outside
for a cigarette. Jumping on the opportunity, I agreed, and I have just
returned from outside, where Christine smoked one of my Marlboro Lights. I
may just have to switch to Newports to increase my odds of getting her
addicted!

February 14, 2003-

Christine smoked three more Marlboro Lights with me today, but alas, it's
Friday and I know she probably won't smoke over the weekend.

Things are getting interesting though. Our conversations about smoking are
getting more and more in depth. Since she said she'd smoke with me to ruin
the point of it being a challenge, thus making me not want her to smoke,
I've decided to use that weapon against her.

I have casually mentioned that if I wanted to get her to start smoking full
time, I'd do just that, but seeing as how I don't, I'm not going to make
that a challenge. To this, she seemed almost disappointed, as if to imply
not that she wants to smoke, but that she enjoys ruining my challenges. I
may just have to run with this idea for a little while and see what happens.

She also admitted to me today that she enjoys smoking, but that the only
reasons she doesn't smoke full time is because of the health risks and
because of the negative stigma that society has on smokers these days. In
time, I'll hopefully be able to erase both thoughts from her mind-.

February 18, 2003-

Today is Tuesday, the day after Presidents' Day. We had yesterday off, so
this is the first time I've been able to talk to Christine since Friday.
Apparently, she had quite a weekend. Here's a copy of the email she sent me
from home. (She didn't come in today.)

Yeah, I got a snow day from class-it's been a long time since I've
had any free time-it was nice just to be able to lay back today.
Mary and I are supposed to go for coffee later and then I have to
study for my economics test which I have tomorrow. I've kinda felt
like an actual college student these past few days.

By the way, you would be so jealous-I went out on Friday night with
Jen and Mary. I totally got some, but that's not the point. I was
so wasted and I smoked up a storm. Must have smoked like 5 or 6.
You would have been in heaven. ;)

Of course, I was skeptical, so I sent the following reply:

You're full of shit. Why aren't you here today smoking with me?

Christine sent me the following email in response:

I am so not. Mary got me a fake ID and we went to a club downtown.
It was fucking great! We were there from like 11pm until 3am. Jen
had bought a pack of cigarettes before we got there. We were just
chilling at the bar talking shit and singing along with the jukebox
   (funny)!

This guy J.C. came up and kept hitting on me. He bought me two or
three beers and a shot (I had already had around 4 beers and two
shots over the course of the night). He totally just wanted to fuck,
but he was a very good guy. I kissed him and man it's been a while
since I was kissed like that. I just hope whatever guy I end up with
is as good as him (perfect). He was really hot and Jen said I should
take him home and fuck him and leave him-but I'm just not that
sort- what a shame-probably would have been great.

I was totally bombed with two of my favorite girls-what a great
   valentines!

Then I went back to Mary's and we smoked up-it was so crazy-I was
   so gone!

I couldn't believe what I was reading. Did Christine get high over the
weekend? I knew she used to do that, but when we last talked about it, it
was something she gave up in March of 2002. She later told me that she smoked
five Marlboro Lights on Friday night, and one on Sunday night. Could this
mean she's on her way? God, the thought blows my mind-

Wait, wait, wait-when you say you smoked up-did you get high?

Christine was quick to respond:

Oh totally. It was probably the only thing that saved me from being
sick that night. I never drink that much or smoke that many
cigarettes in one sitting. I wasn't feeling 100% the next day, but
   I wasn't sick.

I could hardly believe it. Not only did Christine smoke 6 cigarettes over
the weekend, but she also got high. (She took five hits from a joint-a very
nice thought!) I couldn't contain my excitement. Who knows how far I'll
be able to take this!

February 19, 2003-

I've decided that if Christine wants to play games, then we'll play games.
She seems to think that if she smokes more, then I'll get "bored" with
seeing her smoke, and I won't ask her to do it anymore. Little does she
know that I'm trying to get her addicted, and it is seeming more and more
clear that I may just succeed in my goal.

Today I bought her a pack of Newport 100s which I will keep in my desk. I
wish she'd just keep them on her, that way she could smoke whenever she
wants to, but I know she won't. So I'll keep this pack in my desk, and I
won't smoke any of them. I'll just keep them to see how long it takes her
to finish them. She's already smoked two Marlboro Lights with me today-and
she doesn't think I noticed, but I didn't even have to ask her to smoke
them. As soon as we got outside, she said, "Give me one." And then when
that was done, she asked for another. That's just fine with me.

I consciously observed her smoking style today, and noticed that she's
holding the smoke inside her (after her inhale) for almost three seconds
before pursing her lips and exhaling the smoke in a tight, white stream.

I asked her if maybe she has decided to become a smoker and smoke full time,
but she's afraid to admit that to me because she thinks I'll view that as a
victory. Her response was very cryptic. She said, "That's something that
is up to me whether or not to tell you."

More than likely, she's not addicted yet. I know she smoked six cigarettes
over the weekend-five on Friday night and one on Sunday night-plus the two
so far today-and it's only 1:00 P.M.!! If I can get her to smoke four
Newports a day, for a nice and long period of time, she should be hooked in
no time!

February 20, 2003-

Christine went outside and smoked four more Newport 100s today. Her inhales
are really deep now, and she holds the smoke in her lungs for at least three
seconds every day. She still won't take the pack home with her, or even
keep it on her, but I'm introducing the idea of her taking one cigarette
home with her to watch herself smoke in the bathroom mirror.

I know she'll never accept the offer of taking the pack home, but I'm
starting high, and I'll bid down to taking a cigarette home. That will
increase my odds.

I'm hoping that only smoking two or three cigarettes per day, no matter how
strong they are, will be enough to get her hooked. She's smoked an average
of three a day for a few weeks now, and I haven't seen any addiction setting
in yet. Although, she is a little more eager to smoke now. It used to be
such a chore getting her to smoke a single one. Now she asks.

Perhaps she is a little addicted, and neither of us know it.

February 21, 2003-

Today wasn't unlike most others. Christine and I went outside and smoked
together. She smoked three Newport 100s, which leaves eleven in her pack.
That's not too bad, really, especially for a self-proclaimed "non-smoker".
She'll probably finish this pack off by Wednesday or so, if I can have
anything to do with it. I'd love to try to get her to finish them off on
Monday, just to increase my odds of getting her hooked, but I doubt she'd go
for that.

She looks so great smoking-I really wish you all could see it.

February 24, 2003-

Christine was having an awful day today. She had some studying to do for a
test that she has tonight, and to top it off, her co-workers were irritating
the hell out of her. She was more than eager when I asked her if she wanted
to go smoke a cigarette.

Once we got out there, she smoked her Newport 100 while she vented about how
much she hates it here. (She really doesn't, it's just what everyone here
does!) As soon as she had smoked that entire cigarette, she stuck her hand
out and said, "Give me another one." (Remember, she makes me keep them?)

It's really rather comical. I don't even have to ask her whether or not
she wants one anymore. She just says, "Where's mine?" when we get out the
door. I'm half tempted to not bring hers, and see if she craves, but at the
same time, I really enjoy seeing her smoke, so I'm not sure if I want to go
without the sight. Maybe I'll just tell her that I didn't bring them to
test her reaction.

So far today, she's smoked two Newport 100s, and I've enjoyed every last
puff.

Later-February 24, 2003-

Well, apparently she isn't hooked yet-either that or she knew what I was
trying to figure out. We went out for our third and final cigarette today,
and I told her that I didn't bring her cigarettes with me. She simply said,
"Okay."

Hmm-.what do I have to do to get her addicted?? She's smoked an average of
3 or 4 Newport 100s per day for about a month now (excluding weekends) and
she's showing no signs of addiction.

I'm going to have to up the stakes I think, and take more cigarette breaks,
thus having her increase her nicotine intake. Maybe if I can get her to
smoke five or six per day, she'll get hooked.

February 25, 2003-

Christine smoked two Newport 100s today, but it was a bit windy, and I
couldn't see too much of her exhales. She's a very attractive smoker!
(I'm going to steal one of her Newports though and smoke it later-I could
use a change from my own Marlboro Lights.) That means there will be five
left in her pack, all of which I'll attempt to get her to smoke tomorrow.
Then we'll have to decide whether or not to get more or not. I don't want
to supply the girl with cigarettes for the rest of my life, but at the same
time, it has been nice seeing her smoke this pack in only five days.

February 27, 2003-

We didn't smoke together yesterday, for reasons too numerous to list here,
but today, Christine smoked three more Newport 100s. I'm really enjoying it
too!

She only has one left, since I stole one for myself, but tonight I'm going
to buy her a new pack so she'll be nice and stocked for tomorrow.

February 28, 2003-

Well, three more today and she's still not hooked. (Yes, a new pack was
purchased.) I'm not going to give up until she's addicted. When will it
happen? Does anyone have any suggestions? (If so, send them to
smokingbeauties@yahoo.com)

March 21, 2003--

Well, not much has changed since I last updated you all. Christine is still
smoking 2-3 (sometimes but rarely four) Newport 100s per day with me. She
has smoked every day without exception, and she still claims she's not
addicted.

Yesterday was interesting, really. I took a day off (God, I needed it!) and
she sent me an email from the office.

Apparently, she was "bored" (her excuse anyway) and she smoked a cigarette
with one of the guys she works with in her unit. Now, of course, I took this
to mean that she had her first nic-fit and was too afraid to admit that's
what it was.

And a few days ago, I made a little bet with our new smoker friend. She lost
the bet, and her "punishment" was to take three puffs off a Newport 100 with
the filter torn off. (Great head rush if none of you have tried it.)

Well, she owned up to her end of the deal. I tore the filter off for her and
gave it to her. Sure enough, she lit it, and took three huge drags. (Next
time I'm going to bet her to smoke the whole thing!)

Then today, she smoked four more, the second of which was with myself and
the guy she smoked with yesterday. She's apparently not trying to hide it
anymore. Maybe this is working better than I'd hoped, who knows? It is
seemingly easier every day to get her to smoke with me, and now if I don't
give her one when we first walk out the door, she sticks her hand out and
asks, "Where's mine?"

I'm still hoping some of you will have some suggestions to get her addicted.
As awful as it is, we all want her to get hooked.
