Haven't seen any stories posted lately so I thought this might be fun
to try.  Below is beginning of a story, I don't know where it will go
but perhaps you do.  Just write a paragraph or two and post it.  As
each person builds on the others work we might get a story, or at
least something to laugh at.

Pat summoned up all the courage she had and walked up to the counter
of the Quicky Mart.  "A pack of Marlboros please"  her voice waivered.
The clerk took a long look at her then shrugged and turned arround to
get the cigarettes.  Pat nerviously handed her the money and got her
change then hurried out.

Pat had always been shy and never one of the "In" crowd at school.
She always watched the "Popular" girls when they hung out together or
with the boys.  Something else she'd noticed was that most of them
smoked.  She'd just turned 15 and was determined not to be on the
outside any more...
