KALEIDOSCOPE EYES

PART IV

When Betty and Tom awoke Sunday morning, they found themselves both undressed
on Kim's bed, surrounded by full ashtrays and empty beer bottles, but with no
memory of how they got there.  They quickly got dressed and found Kim and
Angela in the kitchen enjoying cigarettes over coffee and empty breakfast
dishes.  Kim quickly put on some sunglasses that were lying on the table.

"Hey you two," Angela said in an exhale.  "You guys have a good night? Though
by the sound of it, I don't think you were getting much sleep."

Betty and Tom smiled awkwardly.  Tom had a terrible headache and Betty's
chest was aching.

"Don't worry, Betty," Kim interjected.  "I called your Mom and told her you
were sleeping over at my house.  Tom, I didn't have your parents’ number but
I did call Brad who said he would phone them with an excuse," she said with a
wink.


"Uh, thanks," Tom said, putting his hand on top his head as if that would
help him remember the night before.  "This is gonna sound kinda weird,
but...what happened last night."

Kim and Angela both looked at each other with a giggle.  "Well," Angela
replied, "I don't think that I can describe all the details, but you arrived
her at about 6 pm, we partied for a few hours over some beers, and then you
two went to do the nasty."

Betty was searching for her purse.  "Looking for these," Kim asked as she
held up the pack of Marlboro Lights.  Betty eagerly took it and lit her first
cigarette of the morning.  She didn't care why or how much her chest was
aching; she just knew that she needed that first inhale of the day.

"You want one?" Betty asked Tom.  Kim and Angela closely watched the
expression on his face as he thought for a moment and said, "I don't know
why...but yeah, I do."  

After a cup of coffee, the smoking couple was on their way out the door, but
Betty first cornered Kim alone and asked, "What really happened last night?
I remember you started to make him a smoker, but after that I'm drawing a
blank."

"You have got to stop drinking so much, my friend," Kim said with a
reassuring smile.  

"But I don't drink," Betty replied with some concern.

"Well, you sure did last night.  Now go on, you're new smoker is waiting for
you."  Grateful for Kim's help, Betty gave her friend a hug, told her she
would call her later, and was out the door.

"She's totally oblivious to what really happened, isn't she," Angela asked as
Kim walked back into the kitchen.

"Yeah, but we'll just let her believe our little story.  She doesn't really
need to know that her boy friend spent the night sucking each of us off."

"Ah, I've never had a man who could eat pussy as well as that one," Angela
said with a sigh.  "He's a real prize."

Kim lit her long 120 cigarette free-handed while standing near the table.
The tip brightened from a hard draw and then dulled as she removed the
cigarette from her lips.  A quick snap and the smoke disappeared down her
throat - only to re-emerge a few seconds later with a hiss as Kim blew it
across the room.

"You're lookin' mighty sexy smoking with those sunglasses, girl friend,"
Angela teased.


"Don't get all weird on me."  Kim sat down and let a white cloud float from
her mouth before drawing it back quickly in a French inhale. She removed her
sunglasses and Angela noticed that her eyes were shimmering even more
brightly than the day before.

"Your eyes are still changing," she commented.  "How do you feel today?"

"Exquisite," Kim replied as she stared straight ahead and smoked her
cigarette without expression.  "Annie will be home soon.  Then my Mom later."  

The two sat in silence as they experienced the rapture of the smoke.
