DRAGON'S BREATH by uciboy BEGIN PART IV Faye opened her eyes and found herself laying on a couch in Principal Wu's office. She raised her head and saw the Principal sitting at her desk going over some papers, a freshly lit Max 120 between her fingers and a full ashtray nearby. Principal Wu looked up, "Ah, you're awake. That's good. After 7 hours I was starting to get worried." "Principal Wu...why am I here? What time is it?" "It's after 5 pm - hence, the freedom to smoke in my office with no one around. But my dear," Principal Wu replied softly, "let's get one thing straight: within the Society of the Dragon's Breath, we refer privately to each other as either Shau Long or Da Long. And if you can still remember any of your Chinese, that's Little Dragon and Big Dragon." "I don't understand," Faye replied as she sat up. "I'm not a member of any Society for Dragon's Breath." "But my dear, you are wearing the initiation charm. You are experiencing the cross-over, what we also call the 'Grip of the Dragon's Breath.' This can be tough for people who have no Da Long to guide them. Who gave you this bracelet?" "My date last night," Faye replied still groggy. "A teacher in Oakland named Richard O'Reilly." "O'Reilly," the principal muttered with disgust, "I should have figured. We are a closed society, my dear, and have been for centuries since being forced underground by the Qing Dynasty. Our ancestors brought these beliefs and the power of the charms to America back in the 1850s as a way to fight the exploitation they suffered from Americans. It was a mistake when we started to accept the white devils into our realm. O'Reilly is a renegade and has been subverting our customs ever since he was admitted, feeding young and vulnerable women to the Dragon without a care of guiding them through the cross-over. I can almost assure you that you will not be hearing from him again. So, I will be your Da Long from hear-on out." Faye was finally coming to understand what was happening to her and that the same thing had apparently happened to Principal Wu. "You're wearing no bracelet," she said. "No," Principal Wu replied as she reached under her shirt and pulled out a necklace, "after a few days when you have crossed-over, the fluid in the charm will solidify leaving only the orange color, and the bracelet will come lose by itself. You can wear the charm as a ring or as a necklace as a sign to others." Faye remembered that Richard's charm was actually a crimson red, but she made no mention of that to Principal Wu. Anyway, while she found this all very fascinating, she was also finding it difficult to concentrate without a cigarette. She reached into her purse and suddenly felt a panic attack when she realized her pack was empty. Sensing Faye's anxiety, Principal Wu said, "I'm afraid you went through those Virginia Slims pretty quick in the restroom. You'll have to settle for my Max 120s - but I think you'll find them suitably powerful to feed the Dragon." Faye, suffering from withdrawals, tried to hold the cigarette steady between her fingers as Principal Wu lit it. The smoke was pungent, but pleasant. "I could actually come to like these," she said with some relief. "In the old days, our ancestors used opium to feel the power of the Dragon's Breath. Today, I'm afraid, we have to make due with what is legally acquirable over the counter." Faye took a deep puff and held it in her lungs for several seconds. "Ahhh," she exhaled, "what a wonderful feeling." She was still confused, though, as to the changes going on within her. "Why do I feel the way I do," she asked. "Why do I get these dark thoughts that drive me to masturbate?" "Our customs are very complex," the principal replied, "and is something you will come to understand in time. Know now, however, that the Dragon can be a power for good as it gives you the strength to stand up to your enemies. I couldn't do this job without its strength. It also provides health and long life - even if you smoke two packs a day like me," she said with a smile. "But there is also a dark side to its power, one that is followed by people like O'Reilly. Those who are allured by it are opening a door to pure evil, and they ultimately live in a twilight zone between fantasy and reality. You must resist the temptation to cross-over to the dark side at all cost, Shau Long. And by all means, stay away from Richard O'Reilly. As your Da Long, I will guide you along the path towards goodness." "What about my daughter," Faye asked. "I'm afraid I've been a bit cruel to her today." "Yes, I talked with Lisa today who was of course worried about you. She's very mature for her age, but I noticed that she harbors a lot of hatred for her father. This is very dangerous and would make her easily susceptible to the dark side. I would strongly recommend that you not tell her about our society until she's older and has learned to deal with this anger. Then, unlike yourself, she can decide on her own whether she wishes to join. But you will have to explain your smoking somehow as by tomorrow you'll be up to two packs a day. And I say that from experience." Faye knew that she should be grateful for her Da Long's guidance and she thanked her, but she felt unsettled. Already the dark thoughts were creeping back into her mind. All her life she had played the good girl, and she felt the dark side of the Dragon's Breath tremendously alluring. "I want us to do a series of meditations this evening that will help you control these dark urges. Tomorrow take the day off and I'll swing by your apartment after 5 pm to continue the exercises. By the weekend the cross-over will be complete and you can resume your normal life. But remember that we must keep this all very secret - even my visit to you tomorrow. As a member of our society, you will be expected to uphold our customs." Faye nodded. What else could she do? For now she would have to follow her Da Long's advice. But she was already forming a plan in her head as to what to do next when she got home. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ When Faye did make it home, she felt none of the peace and serenity that Principal Wu said the meditations would help bring. This is mainly because Faye was uninterested in peace and serenity. She had already decided that she wanted the chaos and the lust that the Dragon's Breath provided - but how to control it? There must be a way - and she felt Richard O'Reilly had the key. When Faye walked into the apartment, she found Lisa sitting at home in the living room doing some homework. "Mom," she shouted as she ran to the door and hugged her, "I was so worried about you. Are you okay?" "Yes, honey, I'm fine," Faye answered with as much patience as she could muster. "I'm sorry I've been acting so strange today. I just haven't been myself." "Principal Wu told me you fainted in the bathroom. What happened?" "It's nothing to worry about dear," Faye said with a little more impatience. She needed a cigarette and it was time to show Lisa that things were about to change in this household. "Now sit down for a minute. We need to talk." Faye had stopped at a supermarket on the way home and picked up two cartons of Max Menthol 120s which she now pulled out of her shopping bag and placed on the coffee table. "What are you doing with those," Lisa gasped. Faye had already opened up one of the cartons on her way over and pulled the pack out of her purse. "Honey," she said with a flick of a lighter, "this is going to be hard for you to understand, but I'm a smoker now. This is something that you are going to have to get used to." "But Mom, smoking is so bad for you. Only evil people smoke." Faye tried to hold back a wicked laugh. Oh, if you only knew how evil, my dear daughter. "Lisa, this is the way it is going to be. You're just going to have to deal with it," she said as she walked over to a cabinet and pulled out one of her ex-husband's old ashtrays. "Mom, please, don't do this. You're becoming as bad as Daddy! I don't want to hate you as much as I hate him." "Honey," Faye replied firmly, "there's nothing wrong with smoking!" And then in a softer tone she added, "If you like, I'll be glad to teach you how." "No way! I'm not gonna breath that poison into my lungs." "Suit yourself," Faye said with some exasperation. "But let me know if you change your mind. Now I have to go make a phone call," and she picked up her cigarettes and walked into her bedroom, leaving behind a smokey cloud that Lisa tried to dissipate by waving her hands. Faye closed the door behind her and went to her desk for her phone book. Finding Richard O'Reilly's number, she dialed it while taking a hard draw freehanded on her Max. "Hello?" "Hello, Richard," Faye said sweetly, "this is Faye Cheung." "Faye," he replied with some surprise, "how are you?" "Fine, fine. Listen, I had such a wonderful time last night, I was just wondering whether you were free this evening for a drink." Richard was clearly perplexed. He knew that by this time in the cross-over Faye should have been out of her mind without any guidance from a Da Long. But he was intrigued also and his curiosity got the best of him. "Sure, Faye. The same club in Chinatown we went to last night?" "Ohhhh," Faye cooed in a naughty tone, "that would be just fine. I'll see you there in an hour." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Faye stood at the head of the alley smoking a cigarette as Richard got out of a taxi. Without a word spoken between the two, they walked into the club and down to the same corner booth as the night before. Immediately after lighting fresh cigarettes, the two began to kiss and fondle one another passionately. But just as Richard started to grope beneath Faye's skirt, she gently took hold of his hand and said with a seductive giggle, "Not so fast lover. Let me do you first." She reached down to unzip his pants and felt his bulging dick pop out of his underwear. "So," she whispered as she began to masturbate him, "tell me about the dark side of the Dragon's Breath. How can it be controlled?" "The dark side can't be controlled," he moaned, "it controls you. Only by embracing its evil totally can you prevent madness." Faye used her finger tips to brush Richard's balls while her thumb and index finger continued to stroke his cock. "How does one embrace it," she asked through a smokey kiss. Richard had never felt such a sensation before. Faye's gentle stroking was keeping him just on the edge of ejaculation. "You must make a blood sacrifice to the Dragon," he murmured. "Only then will your charm turn crimson red and the darkness will embody you." "I need a charm for my daughter, Richard," she whispered in a soft husky voice. "How can I get one?" Richard smiled, continuing to feel the sensations running through his body, and answered, "I figured you'd ask me that. Ever since I met your daughter I thought she'd be a perfect sacrifice for the Dragon; so sweet and vulnerable, just like her mother. There's a bracelet in my coat pocket for her." "You've told me everything I need to know, Richard. Now here is your reward." Faye slid under the table and wrapped her lips around Richard's cock, pausing from her sucking only long enough to take a puff on her Max. Richard knew he was about to cum. It was for moments like these that he embraced the dark side of the Dragon's Breath. He felt his orgasm building and building and he began to shout out loud. But rather than the pleasure of an ejaculation, he suddenly felt excruciating pain. He looked down into the darkness under the table and saw Faye slowly emerging with blood on her face. In one hand she held a knife, in the other his dick. Richard opened his mouth wide in shock. "Be glad you're not my blood sacrifice," Faye said as she reached into his coat pocket and pulled out the charm bracelet. "So long, lover," she said and threw his dick on the table in front of him.
