Part 4:

As it happened, Nicole's transformation was to wait a little longer. There
were only a few days of the school term left and her new friends were not
around the next day. Her throat hurting from her first experience of heavy
smoking, Nicole felt very sheepish and a bit embarrassed about her behaviour.
She was again determined not to get sucked into a lifestyle that she had
previously despised. Her reputation still intact for the moment, Nicole
worked quietly through the day. Inevitably as the day wore on, though, her
throat recovered and she began to fancy another smoke. Not realising the
signs, Nicole tried to ignore these gentle cravings. By the end of the day,
though, she found herself heading once again in the direction of Lisa's
house.

She was glad to find Lisa home alone and her friend, seeing the signs,
quickly offered Nicole a cigarette. Sparking up without delay, she amused
Lisa with her immediate deep inhales, double pumping on several occasions
without even realising that this was what she was doing. Before long Nicole
was again transformed with one of Lisa's outfits and the two of them,
clattering noisily in the towering heels, made their way to the park.

Nicole spent much of the summer in the company of Lisa and her friend Rachel.
Now firm friends, it seemed that three girls smoked almost constantly.
Without initially realising it Nicole was becoming addicted fast. Nicole had
become a pack a day smoker. Not realising how quickly smoking had taken hold
of her, she lit up as often as either of her friends. On the rare days when
she could not join her friends Nicole was often irritable and out of sorts,
craving any opportunity to escape for a smoke. She was a regular visitor to a
quiet spot behind her garden shed where she was free to indulge heavily in
her new habit. As the holiday came toward an end Nicole was now fully aware
that she was hooked on cigarettes. Scared a little by this, she nevertheless
accepted the inevitability of her actions. This was the life that she had
chosen and knew that she would have to come out to her parents and family and
be accepted as a fully fledged smoker. Nicole had never imagined that her new
habit would take control of her quite so quickly or dramatically. Not only
was she a confirmed smoker but she was well on her way to becoming a heavy
smoker.

Becoming tired of all the sneaking around Nicole knew that she was a smoker
now and wanted to freely indulge as much as she wanted. She went on a
shopping trip with her mother and cousin Caitlin, who was two years older
than Nicole. Caitlin had recently come out as a smoker and Nicole sensed an
opportunity. During a few hours at the shops the near 15 year old surprised
her mother by her choice of new clothes. The short skirts and revealing tops
were a great change from her previously conservative choices. Shopping for
shoes her mother was astounded as Nicole tried on the 5-inch black patent
heels and walked across the store in a very practiced manner. Watching in
their own heels, both Caitlin and her mother admitted that Nicole looked good
in the stilettos. They were even more surprised when after their purchase
Nicole opted to keep the shoes on. The three women then walked to a nearby
bar for lunch, Nicole feeling good clacking along the pavement with the older
women. 

Feeling confident in her own new outfit, Nicole knew that this was the
moment. Caitlin rose to step outside for a well earned smoke. Bravely
extracting her cigarettes from her purse, Nicole moved to join her cousin.
Her mother initially said nothing, amazed as Nicole clattered away for the
smoke that she was now very anxious to enjoy!

With Nicole's now long blond hair blowing in the breeze, and balancing on
their high heels, the two girls lit up their cigarettes outside the bar.
Caitlin grinned at her younger cousin, now in the grip of the same vice. It
was obvious to the older girl that Nicole was now as addicted as she was to
smoking. As she watched her deep inhales Caitlin knew that there was no going
back for the youngster. Feeling comfortable among a group of fellow smokers
the girls' chain smoked three cigarettes before rejoining Nicole's mother
inside the bar.
