Smoke & Mirrors Part 2: The First Cigarette: One afternoon during that second week at school, Suzanne met Phil. It was a chance meeting at the university cafeteria. With rain drizzling down, Phil had had no other alternative but to sit inside the non-smoking cafeteria. Seeing an open chair beside this cute rosy-cheeked freshman, he casually asked if she would mind if he sat down. The fact that he was older attracted Suzanne. This young man was in his last year of engineering, and carried himself with confidence. She smiled and said, "Sure. No problem." She unconsciously frowned as she noticed the package of cigarettes in is shirt pocket. "Too bad he's a smoker." her conscience dutifully reminded her. The chat was casual and unstrained. Phil proved to be a master of conversation. He made a few jokes, and gave Suzanne a well-deserved complement or two. He was absolutely charming, and before she knew it, she had agreed to a date with the handsome senior. As she watched Phil walk out of the cafeteria, Suzanne realized that in college you meet so many new and different people of all ages and backgrounds. She was still a bit scared but was committed to meeting new people, getting along with them no matter how different they were from her. She frowned remembering how she had negatively pre-judged Phil for being a smoker. "Humph," she said out loud, "I'm acting just like my mother. He was really nice after all. What difference did it make that he smokes." Suzanne reaffirmed that she would try to be more accepting and avoid judging people. After all he was a really cute and more mature than any of the boys she had previously dated. The moment he met Suzanne, Phil had recognized that Suzanne was the typical naïve wide-eyed freshman. Besides her good looks, her nervousness and lack of confidence attracted him. He could see that Suzanne was impressionable and had a desire to please. He had wondered whether she smoked, but doubted it. She dressed innocently and wore little or no make up. Phil loved to smoke and had always dated women who smoked. He had always found it exciting to see an attractive woman smoke. He didn't know why, but had accepted it as a fact of life. The next time that they would meet, he would casually broach the subject of smoking with Suzanne. The anticipation excited him. Their first date was at the local college pub. Phil knew that from past experience there would be lots of people smoking there and it would be a relaxed environment. After meeting Suzanne at the front door, they were quickly seated at a corner table. As the waitress approached, it was obvious from the frown on her wrinkled face that there was going to be trouble. As she pulled out her note pad, she grimaced in the low light of the smoky bar, looking right at Suzanne she said in a rather nasal voice, "Let's see your ID? Girlie!" Suzanne's eyes widened. Sheepishly she replied "I don't have it with me. I left it in my other purse." The waitress replied abruptly, "No ID! No alcohol!" Suzanne blushed with embarrassment, as she looked up to see Phil smiling. Phil came to her rescue, as he ordered a diet coke for her and a beer for himself. Suzanne continued to cast her eyes downward in embarrassment. Phil tried to console her, joking about the crotchety waitress. He reluctantly admitted that she did look a bit young. His words were concerned and sympathetic, and Suzanne regained her composure. After a moment's pause, Suzanne began to share her life history with Phil. She had been raised a Catholic. Her mother had been very strict, reluctant to even let her wear makeup. She had never been away from home and had been raised in a very traditional home. She was tired of doing everything that her parents wanted. Suzanne repeated how upset she was about being carded. "All the college kids come here. This had been a disaster. It would now be years before I can have a drink in here," she said almost tearfully. Phil laughed at her comments and tried to console her by saying that there would be other times. And then he paused. "Maybe with a bit of `smoke and mirrors' you could pass the age test," he said smiling. Suzanne looked at Phil curiously, not quite understanding his remark. Phil thought now was the moment to break the ice, as he reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out a pack of B&H menthol lights. "Would you like a cigarette, Suzanne?" he asked, casually offering her one from the extended pack. He tried to quell his excitement. She responded rolling her eyes "Are you kidding? Remember my mother wouldn't even let me wear makeup. I don't smoke!" Suzanne then started to back peddle, not wanting to appear too inexperienced. "I did try it once in high school. A couple of the senior girls on the cheer leading squad dared me. You know, they called me a little goody two shoes, a chicken, stuff like that and I took their dare. They gave me a cigarette from a red and white pack, a Marlboro, I think. They told me to suck hard on it and to breathe it in as deeply as I could. I stupidly followed their advice and nearly coughed my lungs out. I got so sick to my stomach that I nearly threw up. They all laughed at me. It was humiliating." Suzanne said blushing. Phil smiled, and tried to look understanding. At least she had tried smoking, he thought to himself, trying to hide his disappointment. Phil spoke compassionately, saying that she shouldn't feel too bad. Her experience was the usual reaction for a beginner with their first cigarette, especially a cigarette that strong. "I'm sure you would have liked it better if someone had taught you how to smoke." The word beginner sort of stuck in Suzanne's mind. Phil asked if she would mind if he smoked. She sort of giggled and said no, and that it was a free world. Phil lit up, taking a long slow drag, inhaling the smoke deeply, and then exhaling the smoke upwards with a look of true satisfaction. He made it look so pleasurable, so satisfying. Suzanne watched intently with eyes the size of saucers. He made sure to put the green emerald package on the table, close to Suzanne so that it would not be clear as to whose pack it was. He scanned the room that was filled to its capacity. There were many girls similar to Suzanne's age all lighting up and smoking, but smoking with the experience of many years. The environment was perfect. It was dark in the corner where they sat as the pot lamps in the bar illuminated the long plumes of smoke from the girls smoking at the nearby tables. The surly waitress interrupted their relaxed moment, saying that it was the end of her shift and could they please clear off their tab. No problem, Phil said, smiling, putting a five on the table indicating that she should keep the change. Once the waitress had left, Phil drew closer to Suzanne and quietly whispered in her ear. "Suzanne, I want you to try something for me. Before the next waitress comes by, I'm going to light up a cigarette for you and all you have to do is hold it. It will make you look a little bit older. Are you game?" With a confused but intrigued look on her face, she hesitated for a moment. After all she didn't know anyone at college, so no one would see her. Realizing that this was a fairly harmless idea and with a mischievous smile she said, "Sure, why not?" He quickly lit two cigarettes in succession, passing her the first one before she could change her mind. She looked a little nervous. "Now hold the cigarette the way the girl at that table over there is holding it," he said, pointing to a very attractive slim blonde with a ponytail. The blonde was holding her cigarette high by her cheek and looked amazingly sexy. At the moment Suzanne glanced over, she saw the blonde take a long deep inhale, followed by an endless plume of smoke illuminated by the concentrated light. The smile on her face indicated that she was truly enjoying her cigarette. Suzanne watched her with fascination. "Do you see which one I mean? Phil said. "Yes." Suzanne responded with a voice that trembled slightly. She carefully struck the pose, her hand shaking slightly. The transformation was immediate. She looked much older with the long white cigarette in her hand. Right on cue, the new waitress arrived. This time the waitress was a bit younger, dressed stylishly, but young enough to be a student at the college. "What will you have?" she said abruptly, implying that she was way behind on her orders. Phil spoke first, "I'll have a beer, a Miller Light, and what will you have Suzanne?" Suzanne sheepishly replied, "I'll have the same." The smoke slowly curled from the cigarette beside her cheek. The waitress continued to fumble with her pad, and then Suzanne did the most amazing thing. She brought the cigarette to her pursed lips and took a small drag on the cigarette. Phil was transfixed. He smiled as he could see Suzanne holding the smoke in her mouth, not wanting the waitress to see her blow out the uninhaled smoke. The waitress finally turned and Suzanne let out the smoke in one big puff. She was grinning from ear to ear. Phil nearly laughed out loud. Phil blurted out, trying to restrain his excitement. "I told you it would make you look older. But you didn't have to smoke it-" he said sarcastically. "Well I wanted her to know that I smoked. How did I look?" she asked with anticipation. "Great!" Phil replied. "How was it?" Phil asked hoping for a positive reaction. "Well, of course I didn't inhale, as I was afraid I might cough. But it was okay, I guess. Sort of tastes gross, but it's not the end of the world. And after all one cigarette won't kill me." She smiled quite proudly. The waitress returned with the drink order, and placed the beer in front of Phil & Suzanne, as Suzanne again assumed her pose. She paused until the waitress left. "Did I look silly?" she eagerly asked after taking a long drink of her beer. She continued to awkwardly hold the cigarette. Phil paused- "Well, no- you looked great." "Hmmm, do you really think so?" she replied with a mischievous grin. "Well it does make you look more sophisticated, I think. A little naughty, even sexy," Phil said, trying not to let his voice waiver "But all the other girls blow out such long slow plumes of smoke," she said, pointing to the blonde pony tailed role model that Phil had selected. "Well yes, they are bit more experienced, and they are inhaling. The best part! " He responded with a smile. "Well the last time I tried inhaling I coughed. How do you do it without gagging?" she asked inquisitively. "Are you sure you want to try this?" he asked, being ever so careful, making sure that this sounded entirely like Suzanne's idea. His member was now at full attention. "Sure. I'm in college now, its time for some new experiences," she replied as she started to feel the effect of her first illicit beer. "Well, okay, if you really want to know, let me show you." he said pausing. "A good way to start inhaling is to first exhale all the air out your lungs. Then take a very small drag. Then breathe in through your nose naturally and deeply. Only a bit of smoke will end up in your lungs. These cigarettes are a lot milder than the one you tried before. Give it a try, but be careful," he said cautiously. She tentatively took a small puff, as the half finished cigarette glowed in the darkened corner. She breathed in slowly through her nose, but continued until her chest had fully risen. She then slowly exhaled. At first the smoke came out thickly, then nothing came out, and then a small blue gray stream was released from her pursed lips. She had not coughed. She had done it. She looked very proud of herself. After a few seconds, she started to feel slightly dizzy, quickly putting the cigarette down in the ashtray. Suzanne took a long sip of beer from her glass, which by now was nearly half empty. "How was it?" Phil asked after a moment. "Hmmmm-not bad. Certainly better than the last time I tried it. I feel a little bit dizzy, but it isn't that bad," she said through her grinning lips. "I must admit it certainly tastes a lot better this way when I compare it to when I just took a puff and blew it out. Let me try it again," as she repeated her previous performance taking a little bit more smoke. The exhaled smoke was thicker this time, as she watched the larger plume cascade upwards over Phil's head. She nervously looked around to see if anyone was watching, but there were only one set of eyes transfixed on the beginner. Suzanne paused saying, "Ewww-that was easier, but I'm still feeling a bit dizzy." Phil smiled, saying, "Take it slow, it takes a while to get used to it. You just need to practice." "Well, I don't want to look silly. I want to look like I know what I'm doing." she said rather forcefully. After waiting a minute or two, she took one more drag, and tried to look as proficient as she could. She smiled as she awkwardly crushed out the cigarette, blowing out the last bit of smoke from her lungs. "You were right, this was a good idea," she said smiling. He could see that she was suffering some of the effects of a novice smoker. Suzanne admitted that she did feel a bit queasy. Phil smiled and again encouraged Suzanne, saying how well she had done, and noting that she didn't cough or anything. He realized that if he pushed it now, that it would be a big mistake. There would be many other times when he could offer her a cigarette. The important part was that the ice had been broken. If she kept trying to smoke, he knew what would happen. He had seen many "social" smokers slowly progress into full time smokers. With a bit of encouragement, this clean scrubbed freshman might some day become a smoker. That thought made him rock hard. The evening had progressed uneventfully; with another drink ordered, and some casual talk. Phil did not want to push his new protégé. He smoked a couple of more cigarettes that night, but when Suzanne did not show much interest, he thought he should hold back. Although he was tempted to offer her one, he would be patient, and wait for another opportunity. At the end of the evening, he walked her to her apartment. He was smiling to himself as he walked her to the front door. When she saw the smile on his face, she stopped and asked him what was so funny. He again tried to hold back his excitement. "Oh, nothing,." he said. "It was just thinking about what you had said about being such a good Catholic girl. Yet, my last memory of you is you sitting in the bar smoking a cigarette and sipping your first under age beer. You had better say three Hail Mary's before you go to bed tonight." He said laughingly. She smiled at his sarcasm, but felt slightly proud of her night's achievement. She responded with a laugh. "After all there is no harm in a having the odd cigarette. Is there?" Phil smiled at this admission. "Well," he said, "I've now seen a new daring side of you, and I like it." He gently kissed her on the lips, lingering just long enough to press the bulge in his pants against her thigh. She nearly swooned, as she felt his long hard penis against her thigh. Phil hugged her gently holding her in his arms. The evening ended with Phil saying that they should do this again. And real soon, he wickedly thought that we must do this over and over and over again, thinking almost out loud- "No harm in having the odd cigarette"-well not yet, but if he had his way she would be eating those words; or maybe more appropriately, smoking those words. He grinned with self-satisfaction. The ice had been broken. He would make sure that she would smoke again and soon. Little did he know that he would soon have help in the corruption of this young girl. The snare was tightening. Suzanne was in trouble. |
