Part 6

Dan hasn't smoked with me since our weekend in Las Vegas. Not that it 
matters that much to me, but Dan has asked me to marry him. It came as sort 
of a surprise. I knew we both had feeling for each other, but I wasn't sure 
it was to this level yet. He tells me routinely how good I look with braces, 
but I often thought that was just the orthodontist speaking. I don't mind 
wearing braces, but I am nearing the end of my treatment and am looking 
forward to having them off. I would like to know what it feels like to smoke 
a cigarette without them on once again. He also indicates how much he likes 
my smoking. I'm a little afraid though once the braces come off he might 
loose his inthatuation with me. I don't know maybe I'm just paranoid.

I told him I would marry him but, I wanted to finish my treatment before the
wedding so I would have my braces off. He said that would be no problem, he
could take them off at any time. I then asked him how he would feel once the
braces were off permanently? He said, he would miss them because he really
likes the way I look with them on but, he would get over it. He said, he
thought I would be beautiful with or without them and was looking forward to
seeing my beautiful new smile. I then told him I would marry him. We haven't
set a date as of yet. Dan also told me that, if after a while we missed the
braces he could put them back on from time to time. I agreed that might be
nice.
