Other popular smoking devices in use were water pipes and bongs.  

When ChongSu15 went into the school, she was directed to a classroom with 20
desks.  There were already 9 students in the room, including one
green-skinned girl from another planet.  In a few minutes all the desks were
filled and the instructors, a man named JesuMo20 and a woman YoVir5
introduced themselves.  They said the minimum course goals for every student
to be able to take a double drag, inhale all the smoke, and hold it in
without exhaling.  This was demonstrated by both instructors.  The rest of
the morning was taken up by some videos, showing different inhaling and
exhaling techniques and a question and answer period.  Also two breaks for
drinks and restroom visits.  No smoking except by the instructors.  

At the first of the afternoon session, the instructors passed a package of
cigarettes and a lighter to each student.  They were told the cigarettes
contained not only tobacco, cannabis, and mint, but also a clove ingredient
which was added to comfort and numb the throat when first inhaling.  They
were told that most people usually quit the cloves and smoked regular
cigarettes after a couple of weeks, but but if they still wanted the cloves,
they would be available.  

The students were instructed to open the package of cigarettes and take one
out.  They were all white and 150 mm long.  The end to be lit was the one
containing the brown particles and the end to placed in the mouth had a brown
filter.  The filter was made from the stems of the tobacco plants.  This
enabled the use of the complete plant with no waste.  It had been found that
the cellulose filters used centuries ago had an ingredient that could cause
irritation to the lungs, so the tobacco stem filter was much better
healthwise.
 
The students were told to inspect the cigarettes, smell it to detect the
pleasant odor, and to place it between their fingers and get used to the feel
and look of a cigarette in their hands.  (end of page 3)
